Cheektowaga Police Department, good men and women serving proudly. Together we can be even better.

The men and women of the Cheektowaga Police Department are doing the best job they can, with what they've attained to work with. These mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, grandmothers and grandfathers...who a lot of the time live right here in our society, give so much back to this community and everyone in it. The police do this as respectfully and reverently as they possibly can...each and every day they report, for what to most of them is far more than just a job. They all understand how important the work they perform every day is to each individual they serve proudly.

There's no one that hates a bad, deficient or corrupt officer who regularly engages in acts of immoral, unjust and often times illegal conduct than good officers. Good officers would love nothing more than to have bad officers, bad supervisors, bad sergeants, bad lieutenants, bad detectives and bad chiefs removed from there positions. The people who are hurt most by poor performing members of law enforcement are good members of law enforcement. Their actions and behavior are not just bad for the individual(s) they're interacting with daily, but more importantly, their conduct will leave an impression on all people that all officers are bad. This type of reckless behavior is irresponsible and unsafe for all officers everywhere, and carries with it the very real and likely consequence of a member of the public looking poorly on all officers... that could result in a very adverse and negative interaction that would have been otherwise completely avoidable and unnecessary. How do we all work together better? Some potential have mechanisms for members of law enforcement to report bad conduct of bad officers without fear of retaliation or being made an outcast in their department. Allow for officers to work a lower concentration of hours during their work weeks. Allow officers to go out into the communities and neighborhoods they're serving, so that those members of those communities can become familiar with these officers and less apt to have a negative or violent interaction with them. Put an end to all quotas of all kind officers are told to fulfill. Provide officers with the wellness training they need when they need it, as well as the support they need in every way required and necessitated by the unique and stringent demands of their job. Educate the members of our communities in a more improved way. Get people in our communities to understand the role law enforcement serves. Help members of our communities to no longer be fearful of law enforcement, but to personalize and humanize them. Give the people a real and actionable way to report members of law enforcement for misconduct. Here at The Experience Media, we'll work tirelessly to make all members of law enforcement as safe as they can be in this community, as well as the communities they serve...so that the public, nor law enforcement vilifies, villainizes or demonizes the other. We're proud to see the progress made in each of our communities over the course of the past year as well as with law enforcement. The public should never have to fear law enforcement, but in turn, law enforcement should never have to fear the public or for their safety. We've heard from so many officers who have been so grateful for the changes in not having to be as aggressive as they were once taught and encouraged to be. We want all of our members of local law enforcement to be the best they possibly can be, using all of the best models and procedures in departments all across this country and the world.
