Religious vaccine exemptions stay for NY healthcare workers

 A federal judge ruled Tuesday that New York must continue to allow health care workers to seek exemptions from a statewide vaccine mandate on religious grounds as a lawsuit challenging the requirement carries on.

Hurd’s ruling Tuesday means New York will continue to be barred from administering any demand that employers must deny religious exemptions. David N. Hurd is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
